Position Title： Product Engineer
Job Summary：
As an integral member of the engineering team, design, develop and release airbag, seatbelt, steering wheel & shift knob
products to meet objectives of management and customers in accordance with government regulations and customer
specifications.? Organizes technical projects, evaluates alternatives and initiates activities as necessary to meet
project’s objectives within time and monetary budgets. Report on progress and workload status.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities：
1、Integral member of an engineering team to develop, design and release airbag, seatbelt, steering wheel & shift knob
products to meet objectives of management and customers in accordance with government and customer specifications.

2、Organizes technical projects (program requests, costs estimates, program plans, etc.), develop / evaluates alternatives

and initiates activities as necessary to meet project objectives within a time and monetary budget.? Report on progress and
workload status.

3、Work with team members to coordinate projects from design through production start-up, including prototype build,

testing and establishment of specifications.

4、 Responsible for supporting all technical base processes including CTM Tollgate 0-4, ESI, Design Requirements, Product

Specification, DFMEA, Design Review, VA/VE, Benchmarking and Commodity Management.

5、Provide technical direction and guidance to drafting personnel, testing, and model shop personnel.

6、Communicate with non-engineering team members regarding costs, quality, purchasing, and tooling issues. Actively

communicate with suppliers, coordinate and follow-up project schedule

7、Document technical aspects of assigned projects and ensures that data is properly retained.?

8、Visit customers with Sales or Senior Engineering personnel, on an as needed basis.
9、Recommend design approaches and solutions to technical problems, directly to customers on routine matters and obtains
assistance from peers, other departments and engineering management on critical issues.
10、Communicate with customer and competitor about the related problems which will affect safety system and engineering
management.
11、Assists with customer proposals & gives presentations on behalf of engineering group as required.
12、Consider the environmental requirement of customer and YFK during the product development period. Before using new
material, try to be familiar with the material safety data sheet. Assess the potential influence on the environment at the
usage and waste stage of new product. Push to use the environment-protecting product and material. Considering the
continuous influence on environment and reduce the usage of the material which may cause serious environmental pollution.

Analytical Requirements：
1、Strong technical ability with knowledge of materials and manufacturing and assembly processes.
2、A high level of self-motivation and bias for action.
3、Strong communications and organization skills.
4、Ability to directly interact with customers while providing a professional image.
5、Experience in automotive and occupant dynamics desirable.
6、Focus on customer satisfaction is a must.
Education：
1、University degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering major.
Work Experience：
1、Minimum of two (2) years experience in automotive area in product design, development or manufacturing or at least 1
year experience in the development of safety restraint systems.
Skill：
1、Good English knowledge, oral and verbal.
2、Strong communication, presentation and organizational skills.
3、Experience in occupant restraints, seat design, instrument panel design or interior assembly a plus.
4、Knowledge of quality management system, be capable to use quality tools, such as SPC, MSA, QFD, FMEA, APQP, PPAP, etc.
5、Possess knowledge of GD&T
Environment equirement：
1、Know the relative rule about quality ,environment-protecting and safety.
2、Know the related environment requirement about automotive industry.

4、负责所有过程的技术，包括CTM 0 - 4阶段，供应商早期介入，设计要求，产品标准，设计FMEA，设计审核，价值工程，基准比较和商业
化管理
5、对制图人员，试验和模型车间的人员提供技术方向和指导
6、与非工程的团队成员进行沟通有关成本、质量、采购和工装模具等问题。积极与供应商沟通，协调跟踪项目进展
7、编写所负责项目的技术文件，并确保资料被合理保存
8、需要时，和销售，高级工程人员一起拜访客户
9、对技术问题推荐设计方法和解决方案，直接面对客户解决其日常问题，在关键问题解决上可得到同事，其他部管理的部门，工程管理层的
支持
10、与客户以及竞争对手沟通会影响安全系统以及工程管理的相关问题
11、协助完善客户的建议并在有要求的时候代表工程组做介绍
12、在产品设计取材时，充分考虑客户和公司环境方面的要求，在选用新材料时，需充分熟悉材料的物质安全数据表，评估产品在使用和报
废时可能造成的环境影响，推进使用环境友好的产品和材料,减少对可能产生重大环境污染原料、产品的使用

1、机械工程或其他工程专业本科毕业
经历：
1、至少两年汽车行业产品设计，开发或制造经验或至少一年被动安全系统开发经验
技能：
1、良好的英语口语与读写能力
2、较强的沟通，表达以及组织能力
3、对乘员约束，座椅设计，仪表板设计或内饰件有经验
4、了解质量体管理体系方面知识，能使用质量工具，如SPC,MSA,QFD,FMEA,APQP,PPAP等
5、具有形状和位置公差方面的知识
 
其他要求：
1、了解质量、环保、安全相关的法律法规
2、了解汽车行业相关的环境方面的要求
